چکیده (Abstract)
Women's rights are important human rights issues that play an essential role in international law and even relations between governments. The Republic of Turkey is one of the countries that has made great efforts to join the European Union in recent decades and has tried to comply with its constitution and domestic regulations with international human rights documents; But the Turkish government's withdrawal from the European Council treaty on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence adopted on 2012/2/10 under a presidential decree on 20 March 2021, challenged human rights issues in the Republic of Turkey. In this paper, with library method in producing data and qualitative method in their analysis, we have tried to investigate the conformity of standards and status of women's rights in Turkey with the european Union's rules and regulations on human rights. The results indicate that Turkey has made continuous efforts to realize their rights in the field of women's rights through the establishment of republicanism, However, some aspects of women's rights, including family rights and violence against women, are far from international standards and principles; On the other hand, the conflict between the majority of the Turkish people's adherence to Islamic ideology and the secular system of Turkish sovereignty has led the Turkish government to face serious paradoxes in this regard, and the government's recent move to withdraw from the Convention against Discrimination against Women has also greatly raised concerns about the observance of women's rights among human rights activists.
